Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Turan browser extension and this website. By installing the extension or creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install the extension and do not use the service.

If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. What you are licensed to do

Turan is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension on devices you own or control.

The free tier is licensed for personal and commercial use — we do not restrict what you do with your own browser, and we will not require a paid plan to keep using the free presets.

A Pro licence permits use by one person across the devices that person uses. Team and volume licensing is available; contact us before purchasing for a group.

3. What you may not do

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the extension or a licence key.
• Publish or share a licence key, or generate keys for others.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Circumvent licence checks, or remove or obscure attribution notices.
• Use the service to break any law, or in a way that interferes with the service for others.

We may suspend a licence that we reasonably believe is being abused. Where a suspension is later shown to be a mistake, we will restore it and extend the term by the lost period.

4. Presets, updates, and changes

Presets, features, and supported browsers may change between versions. We may add, modify, or retire presets. We will not remove a paid feature from an active paid term without offering an equivalent or a pro-rated refund.

The extension is designed to work offline. If a period of offline operation exceeds the grace window described in the Security page, paid features may pause until the next successful check.

5. Payments and renewals

Prices are shown in US dollars. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. The price charged at renewal is the price in effect at renewal time; if we raise a price we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before your next renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

Lifetime purchases are one-time and include updates for the lifetime of the product. They do not include new products we release separately.

Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction and are handled by the payment provider.

6. Refunds

See the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Availability

We aim for the service to be available continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The extension's core styling works offline, so a server outage does not stop the product from functioning on your machine.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

The extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Turan changes how pages look. Some websites render incorrectly under any recolouring, and we cannot guarantee that every site will look right. Per-site overrides exist precisely so you can turn Turan off where it does not suit you.

We do not warrant that the extension will be free of errors or that it will work with every browser version, operating system, or other extension.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of:

• the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim; or
• USD 50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Your content and our content

You keep all rights to content you create (including feedback you send us). We keep all rights to the extension, its source code, presets, artwork, and this website.

If you send us feedback or feature ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation. We will not publish your name without asking.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, email us at the address at the bottom of this page; deletion removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these terms. On termination, the licence grant in section 2 ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including sections 3, 8, 9, and 12 — survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Turan is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply and are not overridden by this clause.

Before starting formal proceedings, please write to us. Most disagreements here have been solved by one email.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the changelog and, for account holders, by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
